Rearming Windows

All new servers include a 180-day trial license of Windows Server. You can extend this trial period by using the built-in rearm function. This resets the activation countdown and gives you more time before a full license is required.

Steps to Rearm Windows Trial License

  1. Boot the server and Login to the server as Administrator.

  2. Open Command Prompt as Administrator:

    • Press Windows + R, type cmd, then press Ctrl + Shift + Enter.

  3. Run the following command:

    slmgr /rearm

  4. Restart the server when prompted.
